Painting is a tribute to a friends faithful Dog that past away at the end of 2011. I try to capture the dogs loving personality and leisurely nature in the work. The audience is drawn in by the nature of the image and the fact that the viewer has eye contact with the subject. It is painted in my characteristic style of bold brush strokes,strong light source, strong contrast and an exciting palette. The works general feel is warm and inviting.
