Carmel Mission
2012 ArtPrize EntryThe Carmel Mission is one of my favorite places to draw. It has the beauty of the old world, the adobe structure, tile roofs and beautiful gardens. It is a quiet spiritual place with historical significance. The oil pastel media are great for this subject. The colors are rich and yet can be blended for subtle and soft textures.
