Nothing Left to Say V VI
2012 ArtPrize EntryThis art work consists of two drawings but exists as one piece. The lines seen here are drawn one by one. First, a light charcoal gradient is laid on the paper to achieve some kind of depth in the drawing. An exacto knife is dipped into a well of ink, then cut into the surface of the Rives BFK paper. This piece has a subtitle of "If Paper Could Bleed" The frames are constructed by the artist in mild steel. A combination of acides were used to patina the surface of the metal.
