The title of the painting is Legacy. This one young teenager represents my own family’s legacy and the future of my family line. I heard a quote many years ago in which a man was in a desperate situation and his own family line depended on him living though the situation he found himself in. The quote went something like this: " at this very moment, I am the entire reason my ancestors ever existed at all.” It’s a powerful statement. I look at this from a character point of view. The mosaic tiling of the image represents each person that has influenced his life, each lesson taught and learned, each decision made and each building block that has gone in to making him the person he is becoming. This next generation of kids is collectively our legacy. I pray this 'legacy' in my own family will live his life with dignity, integrity and honesty knowing that right now, in this moment, he is the very reason his ancestors ever existed at all.

Venue & Connection Information

Easy to hang with one or two wall fasteners (nails/screws). The big thing is the height of the piece which will need at least 11' tall walls.
