American Lotus

  • Default

The American Lotus is more than an endangered, marsh-loving wildflower. It's unique structures tell a story. The pedals are curtains that direct towards the stout central pistil. Surrounding it are a throng of stamen. One or two stamens may make its way to the top, and reproduction, while the others look on with jealousy or turn away hopelessly. In that way, it reminds me a lot of high school.
