Jessica DeJohn has spent the last ten years in the field of child welfare. She began as an intern, became a case aide, and progressed to a foster care case manager. Today, Jessica works as a placement specialist at Bethany Christian Services while doing recruitment work, helping with retention of foster parents, training of foster parents, and participating in Kent County Coalition. Working with children and families from day one allows Jessica to find a foster home for children to be able to support the goal of reunification by becoming a part of the helping process that is the ultimate goal of foster care. Artprize 2017 was Jessica's first entry with Kent County Coalition's "Interlaced" piece. Artprize 2018 is Jessica's second entry with Kent County Coalition's "Missing Piece of the Puzzle".
