2012 ArtPrize Entry
Add to Collection

"ho-san-na" - noun. an expression of adoration, praise, or joy (esp. in biblical, Judaic, and Christian use). This triptych titled "Hosanna" uses cliché statements from television home shopping network rhetoric superimposed on images of glistening fake jewelry. The center figure plays the host of this American fantasy of gender roles, Christianity, and conspicuous consumption.
