Jeane Vogel is a mixed media & photo artist who is shocked to realize she has spent more than 40 years crafting art with light and lenses, fiber and thread, paint and ink. She uses traditional and experimental tools and techniques to expose the world of nature, faith and humankind in a singular light. She is a Fellow in the international Jewish Art Salon, a member of the American Guild of Judaic Art and formerly a juried member of Best of Missouri Hands in photography and mixed media. She was selected as a featured artist in the book, Best of America Photography 2010. Her volunteer work includes: • Blooming Artists, 2014-present master artist/mentor in the Blooming Arts project that matches professional artists and students, (2014-present), • One of six artists selected from US and Israel to participate in the American Guild of Jewish Art high school/college student mentorship program, 2014 • Jewish Women’s Art Network, National President, 2012-2013 • Board of Directors, American Guild of Judaic Art, 2010-2014 • Missouri Heart Adoption Gallery featured photographer. 2006 -present (fine art portraits of children in foster care and available for adoption) • Women’s Caucus for Art, National Board of Directors, 2011-13 • Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, Volunteer Affiliate Photographer, 2007 to 2012 (offering fine art portraits of dying, recently deceased, or still-born infants for families who Jeane Vogel exhibits her photography, mixed media, and tapestries in galleries, art fairs and exhibits throughout North America. In addition to photographic art, Jeane produces work in clay, pastels, fiber, and watercolors.
