My work explores intellectual and emotional reactions to the ways in which objects interact with their environment. I use found objects as modular elements that create new forms when interconnected. These constructions are separated from their prior lives and repurposed in ways that are no longer utilitarian but conceptual. Once removed from their traditional context, the objects' interaction with the environment becomes unpredictable and unstable. They create new levels of tension and dynamism within the installation and its surroundings. The repetition of elements form patterns which trigger feelings of familiarity that play against this sense of dynamic inconstancy. Exhibitions have been presented by The Bronx Museum NY, The Mattress Factory PA, Katonah Museum of Art NY, Oklahoma City Museum of Art OK, The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts MO, The Grounds For Sculpture NJ, Center For Contemporary Arts NM, Bemis NE, The Soap Factory MN, White Flag Projects MO among others.
