The majority of my body of work is representational, some times composed, sometimes as found in my exploration of the world. I work with my camera to establish a compositional frame in works where the composition is as found, but also have worked to compose visual elements in pieces whether to set up for a compositional photo shoot or created as a montage from different places and times. Each artwork is made as a series of layers, whether in paint, pastel, colored pencil or graphite, to develop structure, color and contrast. The scale varies widely, from a few inches to several feet. On occasion, the photograph stands as the work and a single print on archival photo rag is made.
