TV Memories
This art piece is intended to be a conversation starter. I work in an office full of cubicles where noise level indicates conversations. I noticed a lot of times when I followed the noise and listened to the conversation it would be about TV. I observed a trend that whenever someone spoke about TV or TV shows everyone (from all departments) got involved into the conversation. This inspired me to make an art piece that would generate that type of conversation; conversation where people of all ages, races, and backgrounds could ‘remember’ together. I have combined 70 graphite pencil drawings into a 3D collage which I have placed into a frame resembling an old TV set. I will also be playing bits of TV theme songs as some of us remember through sound. The purpose of the piece is for my TV Memories to Channel Conversations among everyone.
