Connections

Once you’ve registered to be an artist in ArtPrize 2013, you'll need a venue to show your entry. Here’s a simple guide to how the process works. The Connections Period begins April 29, 2013.

1. Request a Few Venues You Like

Browse venues here. Find a few you would like to work with (we recommend starting with five), and click the “Request to Connect” button on their profiles. You can see a list of the venues you’ve requested connections with under “Requested” in the “My Connections” area of the website. Once you request to connect with venues, you need to wait for them to confirm interest.

2. Hearing Back From a Venue

When a venue confirms interest in showing your work, the listing will move from “Requested” to “Pending”.

3. Agree on Details, Sign a Hosting Agreement

When you hear from a venue you’d like to work with, discuss the specifics with them (where the work will be installed, when it will arrive, who installs it, etc.). The venue will then send you a Hosting Agreement to sign and return. The Hosting Agreement is a contract between the venue and artist that contains all the details of your working relationship.

4. Complete the Connection (Deadline: June 20, 5:00 pm EDT)

As the final step, both you and the venue must confirm that you have signed the Hosting Agreement. The venue confirms this first, then you’ll be able to confirm by finding the venue in your “Pending” list. That’s it, you’re connected!
