Heart of West Michigan United Way supports, promotes and advocates for Kent County by working to achieve shared community goals in education, income and health. As a philanthropic leader and partner with strong West Michigan connections, we collaborate with businesses, other nonprofits and individuals to leverage gifts of time and money that benefit our community. Our goal is to work toward long-lasting impact that truly makes difference in Kent County. So while we support those who have fallen on hard times, we also work to identify the root causes of problems. Our work impacting the education, income and health of Kent County advances the common good – that is, it directs change and creates opportunities for a good life for all who live here. hwmuw.org
