Greg Constantine was born in Windsor Canada, earned a BA from Andrews University in 1960, and an MFA from Michigan State University in 1968. He became a naturalized US citizen in 1976. He taught painting, drawing, and art history at Andrews University for 43 years while conducting 15 summer sessions in Europe. He exhibited nationally beginning in 1969, and since 1975, had numerous one-person shows including 22 in premier New York City galleries. In 1986, he was the recipient of a Michigan Creative Artists Grant. In 1984, he was awarded the J.N. Andrews Medallion by Andrews University for outstanding research and publication. He was awarded the rank of Artist-in-Residence and Research Professor of Art in 1996. Constantine has had seven books published, beginning with “Vincent van Gogh Visits New York” in 1983. He retired from teaching in 2006 but continues to create and exhibit his art. This is his 7th Art Prize.
