Activi-Tree

Green Living Science

The Activi-Tree is a climb-in/climb-on sculpture designed as an on-site classroom for instruction, art projects and emancipation. The 40ft intermodal box has been reimagined to grow hearts and souls. The walls tell stories of Detroit and humanity starting from 1873 to the present. The floors reminisce of childhood gym class. The currency hidden behind the walls warms the living bodies inside. Inside the container, workshops will provide limited-resource printmaking experiences for adults and children using street-art materials and stencil process on paper. The structure provides a space for anyone who enters to dream, create and share your candy…
