"ArtPrize 2013 at GRAM: Reimagining the Landscape and the Future of Nature" : Artists today have a complex relationship with the environment that goes beyond celebrating the beauty of landscape. GRAM’s ArtPrize exhibition will feature artists who are exploring images and ideas taken not only from the world around us, but also from the history of art, contemporary discussions about the environment, and frontiers of natural science.

The mission of the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) is: • to inspire all to discover, enjoy, and learn about art, • to serve as a welcoming and inclusive cultural resource, • to collect, conserve and interpret authentic works of art of the finest quality. The Museum is the first LEED Gold certified art museum in the world. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings.
