Gloria Kirk-Hanna grew up along the Oregon Coast a life rich with colors and nature. The fiber artist's family has always been abundantly full with painters, sculptors, and writers. Gloria began her own artistic journey at the age of 5 (painting with her grandmother) and continued into college exploring drawing, pottery, art history, and quilting. Quilting was the pathway into the ever growing Fiber Art world. She is currently working with hand cut batik fibers on a new self taught exploration of manipulating fabric and fibers that pushes weaving and quilting to their limits. She has spent time in Alaska, New Jersey, and now resides in West Michigan expanding her art, and raising her growing family.
