Flameworked glass figures/mixed media ----Age discrimination.----- "If I feel like this at 54 how bad must it be at 80?" Forced into an 'early' retirement, 54, life choices greatly narrowed. Subtly employers say: you just don't fit, or where would you like to see yourself in 5 years. What has defined you for 30 years, has been stolen. 60, fewer choices. Doctors tell you you're not as young as you were. But you are still too young to 'retire', if you had a job. 70? choices? Retire? Maybe. Health problems, maybe. Doctors finally say you are getting old. 80+ What do you expect? The government tells you to 'take a pill' , 'there is a panel reviewing your care'. 90? a nice picture in the paper.
