Why enter ArtPrize?
ArtPrize is a place to go from idea to action. Artists from all over the world are welcome to experiment, collaborate and execute new ideas.
Artists have the chance to win $560,000 in prizes, the largest total purse for any art prize, chosen both by public vote and professional jurors. ArtPrize draws over 300,000 people, from novices to art world movers and shakers. And there’s the chance to install a project in one of nearly 200 urban venues, from an art museum to a laundromat.
How does this work?
First, register as an artist beginning April 23. You’ll create an Artist Profile and provide detail about your ArtPrize 2012 Entry. Artist registration ends May 24, 2012. Read more about Artist Registration.
Once your Profile and Entry are complete, it’s time to find a venue to show your work during ArtPrize. You can view venues now. Beginning April 30, Artists and Venues will be able to connect with one another on the website. Each artist must secure a connection with a venue by June 21, 2012. Read more about Connections.
