My story of creating unique metal art all began with James Cameron's 1991 film, "Terminator 2." While I was watching this film, I became fascinated with the metal arm of the "T-800." I was so inspired by its unique detail that in my head I thought, "I can make that!" I knew that we had a welder laying around the garage, but had never tried my hand at it. So that same day I asked my dad if he could show me how to weld. I told him the idea I had to make the Terminator arm, and he proceeded to look through his work truck to find all the spare metal nuts and bolts he could find. He taught be basics of MIG welding and together we finished our own (very rough) version of the "T-800" arm. What a fun day that was! From there, through trial and error, I taught myself more tricks of the trade and my imagination started running wild! I began creating simple things like dogs and cats then gradually started using larger parts to make items like cameras and spaceships, all the way down to today where now I make real life size versions of famous guitars as well as "supersized" versions of those same guitars! I hope that you will enjoy my pieces just as much as I enjoyed creating them!
