Constructive Being
Constructive Being is a direct metal sculpture intended to communicate how individuals are constructed in mind, body, and spirit from the most basic elements. Together they are nothing but inanimate “things”. When combined they make a single unit that supersedes the elemental pieces. By using flat pieces of steel to represent a person, this piece tries to communicate the quality of life where opposites such as hard and soft, objective and intuitive, parts and wholeness are constructed into the nature of being.
