Register Your Entry

Connect With A Venue
During the Connections Period, use artprize.org to find registered venues you like. If one agrees to host your entry, you’ll sign a hosting agreement. Connect April 24 to June 22, 2017.
Display Your Artwork
Get your entry (and entry profile) ready! Then display your artwork at your host venue during the 19 days of ArtPrize. $500K in awards are decided by expert jury and public vote. ArtPrize Nine is September 20 to October 8, 2017.
The World’s Largest Art Competition
Open to everyone
If you’re at least 18 years old at the time of Artist Registration, you’re eligible to enter ArtPrize. Artists from anywhere on Earth can participate. The entry fee is $50 for an individual artist and $100 per team for a collaborative entry.
Enter almost anything
When you register, you’ll enter your artwork in one of four major categories: 2-D, 3-D, Installation, and Time-based. Entries representing every artform and any medium are welcome at ArtPrize.
Compete for more than $500,000 in grants and prizes
Each year, ArtPrize awards $500,000 in prizes. Half are decided by public vote, and half are awarded by expert jury.
Tens of thousands in additional grants—through programs like Artist Seed Grants and Pitch Night—are awarded to participating artists each year.
Choose your own venue
Unlike any other art event of its size, each venue is independently organized. ArtPrize plays no role in selecting the artists who participate. If you can convince a registered venue to host your entry, you’re in.
You'll manage the process of selecting a venue through the Connections tool in your artprize.org account.
Gain exposure to hundreds of thousands of people
Each year, ArtPrize attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all around the world to explore and experience entries like yours on display throughout downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Hundreds of thousands more visit artprize.org and use the ArtPrize mobile apps to view artwork online—and vote for the winners.
Sell your work
You can also let visitors know if your entry is for sale. Many potential collectors and fans inquire online about purchasing work, both during the event and beyond. More than a third of all artists sell their work.
