2013 ArtPrize Entry
Add to Collection

Pictured in the 1st image is DJ Kero's New Year's Eve projection mapping installation for Flint Public Art Project, downtown Flint, MI, New Year's Eve, 2013. For ArtPrize Flint Public Art Project will create a similar grand spectacle projection mapped outdoor environment, highlighting the work of several regional artists and groups. We will combine video mapping with a live physical intervention featuring a social space & kiosk. We have all the needed equipment including projector, generator, artwork, materials & supplies. The 2nd image is of a map used while producing the Free City Festival, an open air art festival that took place in May 2013 in Flint, & featured over 70 art projects. The 3rd & 4th images depict scenes from the Free City festival. The 5th image depicts Spencer's Funeral Home, a project space by Andrew Perkins and Matthieu Bain, also in Flint. http://www.flintpublicartproject.com http://freecityflint.org http://dwellingonwasteflint.blogspot.com
