This Art Prize Entry is a whimsical adaptation of a formal dinner table using a children’s table with 8 place settings. Each of the place settings represents one of the top 8 allergens. At each setting, a place card would give an allergy statistic and a phrase from a child expressing their thoughts about their particular food allergy. This entry is meant to bring people to the "table" for a discussion about the realities of life-threatening food allergies. The art is intended to be educational as well as thought provoking as it explores the emotional aspect of living with this condition as a child.
