Chair Camp is designed by Carla Hartman, Education Director of the Eames Office and granddaughter of Charles and Ray Eames. Ms. Hartman will give a brief lecture and show examples of chairs from commonplace to rare. She will then ask students to think about chairs in ways they might not otherwise. The educational goal is to have the students create something different from what they might have created the day before, and to see the uncommon beauty in a common object.
