ArtFitness, developed by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, is a refreshing way to exercise your ability to talk about contemporary art. Rather than focus on history and terminology, ArtFitness tours feature discussions that focus on repeating a set of basic questions. A new twist for ArtFitness this year is that we're combining it with guided bike tours. Partnered with Green Machine Pedicabs and Central District Cyclery, ArtFitness Bike Tours are now the perfect opportunity to exercise your body and mind at the same time. The tours, estimated at two and a half hours, will follow a loop through downtown, beginning and ending at Central District Cyclery (52 Monroe Center), and stopping at venues with outdoor ArtPrize installations.

This 3 time event is at the low-cost for $5 a person, and FREE for ArtClub members! For tickets visit the ArtPrize HUB (41 Sheldon Blvd.) during the 19 days, or show up at the event and pay with your card. ArtClub members must register at The HUB to hold a place on the ride. Rides are limited to 20 people per day.

Don't have a bike but would love to join? No problem, Central District Cyclery has bike rentals by the hour and by the day. Green Machine Pedicab also has a few spots to sit to enjoy the ride, as well as the conversation. Remember to wear your helmet, that doubles as a thinking cap, and join the group in learning about art, urban cycling, and exploring Grand Rapids!
