Eva Rocha is a Brazilian, and American, multimedia artist. After working as an actress and performer in Brazil, she studied arts in the Andes of Peru and earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University’s VCU School of the Arts in 2016. In 2015 she was honored with the Theresa Pollak Award for Excellence in the Arts in the category of Emerging Artist. Her work, which confronts viewers with traumatic aspects of personal/collective experiences, has been shown in special open call exhibitions at the following museums: the Art Museum of the Americas and the Museu Brasileiro de Escultura in 2013, the MOCA-VA and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in 2015, the King William Museum in 2016; The Valentine, the Black History Museum and the Taubman Museum in 2017.
