I am an Paper Artist and mostly do Origamic Architecture which involves creating three-dimensional reproductions of architectural landmarks, geometric patterns, everyday objects, or other images using a single sheet of cut and folded paper. I started in 2004 with a family Christmas card. In the following years I would cut and fold designs that I had found on the internet. As time went on and I gained more experience I started working on my own designs, doing a variety of cards (Christmas, birthday, etc..). Recently I have been creating many of my own intricate designs of buildings and geometric shapes. In the past couple years I've also been exploring other forms of paper art. I have entered had work on display at a number of local art competitions with a number of honorable mentions. In 2015 did a commissioned work for Marchon Eyewear that is was on display at the grand opening of their new showroom in New York City. The work is now traveling to trade shows around the country. In 2010 with encouragement from friends and family I entered ArtPrize and finished in the top 50 with my entry "Grand Rapids". This will be my seventh year participating in ArtPrize.
