Emily Lindbloom currently is a college student at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where she is studying to become an Art Studio and Art History double major. She has received several scholarships and awards for her art, including the Distinguished Artist Award by Hope College in 2016, the Art Scholarship from Hamilton County Art Center, and Art Student of the Year by Fishers High School. Her interest in depicting the figure, sharing intimate and meaningful stories, and inviting viewers to step into the personal environments of her paintings collectively shine through her work. Ever since her grandpa taught her how to paint as a young child, she has been fascinated by the endless possibilities the genre offers. Her medium of choice is oil paint, as she enjoys the richness of its hue, the texture of its body, and its ability to transform paintings into real life.
