In 2012, Muskegon, Michigan native, Dr. Cindy A. Milton created a piece entitled Mother Teresa. During ArtPrize 2012, the artist exhibited this work -- made entirely of bread -- at the J. W. Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids. Following the show, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! purchased Mother Teresa, and it is now on permanent display in one of their U. S. museums. …Milton initially received her formal art training at Muskegon Community College in the early 1990s. Upon graduation, she began constructing various sculptures and 2D assemblages as well as building a collection of outdoor photography. “…Challenging myself is a craving that drives my life. Insatiable at times, I seek those roads deluged with obstacles.” It is this fiery enthusiasm, coupled with an endless imagination that puts Milton ahead of others in the creative arts.
