Floral Flourish
2012 ArtPrize EntryI'm always on the look-out for ways to reduce, reuse, and repurpose. This proposal is inspired by the blown glass art of Dale Chihuly. Recycled plastic bottles are painted, cut, melted and assembled into exoctic looking flowers. No two flowers are ever the same, but all are glorious explosions of color. Don't be surprised if you see an insect or two exploring the display! (Photos are not of actual pieces and are shown as samples of what finished work will look like.)

Venue & Connection Information
Meant as an outside display, finished pieces are mounted onto wood dowels which are pushed into the ground with little or no damage to grounds. Finished display can be expanded or reduced to fit the space available. Project is weather-proof. An outside spot light could be added to enhance night-time viewing if outside electric outlet is available.
