I'm a teacher of art and an artist. I've been an Indianapolis Stutz Business & Art Center member, a Southside Art League exhibitor in Greenwood, and have been featured in many newspaper articles. Exhibits and shows include private galleries, the Hoosier Salon, Magdalena Gallery, and French Bleu Gallery, all in Carmel Indiana. I also do commission work, and recently finished a book illustration project. I have degrees from Northern Illinois University, Herron School of Art and Indiana University. I also teach at the University of Indianapolis. As an artist, I tend to focus on positive and beautiful things. Thinking of nature, the ultimate beauty and God's perfection, led me to going deeper and back to the very beginning... Creation... and last year's entry about the Book of Genesis. This year leaves me still experimenting with this newer medium, epoxy resin. My creation of "Dreams of Roses" is about our desire to reach for the beautiful things in life. Resin is incredibly challenging to work with as you try to manipulate a material that it has a mind of its own. The heat gun is my paintbrush and I am determined.
