Aluminum Concept Camper
ALUMINUM CONCEPT TRAVEL TRAILER: For years I’ve had an idea for a small, elegant streamlined trailer. The concept is based on riveted aircraft construction and utilizes green and recyclable materials. The design is based on new and vintage styling cues. One of the main considerations after the design itself is weight. This trailer should weigh approx #1200 lbs and be towable with most any vehicle. And due to its aerodynamic shape, very economical. The ribbing, frame and exterior skin is clad with aircraft aluminum which was laid up by hand and riveted using approx 2500 aluminum rivets. The frame is aluminum with airbag suspension allowing the trailer to negotiate rugged terrain for off-road camping.
