My entry consists of two colored-pencil pictures, a hanging sculpture, and a poem. The intention is to portray a train of thought; how the original idea developed, and then how each proceeding idea grew out of the prior one, with the poem, finally, giving the artists interpretation.Explanations will be provided with each idea. This is my poem.......Flying Colors reaching out,Discovering what we're all about.Untethered drifting to and fro, Gathering colors as we go.Stature growing day by day,With colors we will find our way.The beauty of colors everywhere, Purpose has no meaning there.Who we are and what we'll be, Our colors helping us to see.

Venue & Connection Information

My sculpture is designed to hang.It only weighs about 10lbs., so I'm not concerned about figuring out a safe way to hang it.My two pictures and poem are framed and ready to hang on a wall or placed on easels, depending on what the situation calls for.No special lighting is necessary but if it is available I would use it for the pictures and the poem. The sculpture shows best in subdued lighting, but looks fine in any light. If I need to build a hanger that sets on the floor, I can do that.
