I believe every human is born with artistic ability. Art is a communicating tool, whether positive or negative. It helps people express emotion and explain their perspective on the world. I was born in 1981 and raised in the Grand Rue Ghetto of Port-au-Prince, so there was definitely no shortage of creative materials. I joined the Atis-Rezistans in 2006 and in 2009 participated in the first Ghetto Biennale. I also had the opportunity to coauthor a book about the effects the 2010 earthquake had on life in Haiti. My art has been showcased in multiple art exhibitions, where I displayed recycled voodoo sculptures.
