Christopher Capozziello is a freelance photographer. His work is primarily about inviting the viewer into personal stories in order to understand different facets of life. His projects often make unpleasant realities beautiful, not my misleading anyone, but by allowing the viewer to stop and look more deeply at the subject. Chris’ first book, “The Distance Between Us,” is about his twin brother. Nick has cerebral palsy. The book demonstrates their love and hope set against Chris’ pain and frustration as he watches Nick experience life with much more struggle and pain than he does. He has collaborated with clients including TIME, Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde, Open Society Institute, and Neon. World Press Photo, POYi, PDN, American Photography, the Alexia Foundation, The Aftermath Project, and many others have honored his work. Chris currently lives in Milford, Conn., three miles from his twin brother, where he continues to work on his photographic stories.
