Cathedral Square’s exhibit space, indoors and out, lends itself to a welcoming, contemplative viewing environment. We are looking for well-crafted artwork that possesses vitality. We are interested in artists whose work conveys a message about their personality, their heart and mind, and a sense of the community, broadly defined, in which they work. For details about the space, please see our venue description.

Welcome artists, volunteers and visitors! Cathedral Square provides a unique, inviting and thoughtful viewing environment. Located just a few blocks from the city center in the Heartside Neighborhood of Grand Rapids and anchored by the 125-year old Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Cathedral Square is an 11.5 acre area in which exhibit space is available both indoors (main gallery) and out. The indoor space, located in the Wege Conference Center on the second floor of Cathedral Square Center is easily transformed from meeting space to art gallery. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for an infusion of natural light and the open floor plan gives visitors the opportunity to view art at their own pace. Outside, the square's gardens are an urban oasis featuring beautifully landscaped green space and meandering, pedestrian-friendly walkways that stretch from Wealthy Street (at the southernmost point) to the Cathedral of Saint Andrew.
