Star Trek Tribute, mural, 5'X16': "Where No Man Has Gone Before"
This drawing was a work in progress over many years and finished this week. It was started on the day after Gene Roddenberry passed away as a tribute to his contribution to space travel and his positive attitude for mankind, which deeply inspired me personally. The painting starts on the left side, with the original Star Trek show's cast and crew, including the Star Ship Enterprise, and evolving through each successive show: Star Trek Enterprise, Deep Space 9, and Voyager, as well as Kirk and Spock from the Star Trek motion picture series, enveloped in a galaxy in the universe of space. The first space shuttle was named Enterprise in the show's honor, signifying the great contribution that Star Trek has made in educating and inspiring space travel and the quest for the unknown. The shuttle is shown blasting off into space next to the portrait of Gene Roddenberry...Star Trek's creator and producer, with the original show's signature words, "Where No Man Has Gone Before"
