The shores of Lake Michigan provide a beautiful backdrop to be enjoyed year-round, and have been the source of inspiration for many artists. From the Tahquamenon Falls of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to the bustling streets of Chicago, one does not have to look far to be inspired by the beauty in and around this great lake. But what makes Maniscalcos' work stand out is not only the dynamic motion and dramatic lighting seen throughout his work, but his willingness to push the limits to perfect his craft. Where most artists will focus on capturing the beauty of a sunset, Maniscalco can also find beauty in the darkness after the sun has disappeared and the colors have faded, to reveal a world that most can only dream of. Looking past the obvious, it is in the afterthoughts and small details overlooked by others that he draws inspiration. Sharing sunsets, waterfalls, sand dunes and cityscapes with the world, Maniscalco has perfected the art of capturing and sharing special places, and special pieces, of the world around us. Maniscalco is a multi-award winning artist from St. Joseph, Michigan. Attending Kendall College of Art and Design, he has gone on to teach at Krasl Art Center in St Joseph, and has judged the Michiana Annual Art Competition. His award winning fine art photography has been shown and sold in several galleries and shows around the Midwest. Currently, he has work on permanent exhibit at The Courtyard Gallery in New Buffalo, MI; Shady Creek Winery in Michigan City, IN; and The Inn at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, MI. He currently resides with his family in New Buffalo, MI.
