The Blue Bridge is an iconic pedestrian bridge in the the heart of downtown. Located between Fulton and Pearl, the bridge connects the city center on the East bank to the Grand Rapids Public Museum and Grand Valley State University facilities on the West. The Blue Bridge is a pedestrian bridge with a convenient connection between the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus of Grand Valley as well as the Grand Rapids Public Museum and other attractions and the east side of the river. It is a popular site for taking photographs of wedding parties, prom groups and graduates and is very visible with it's "Laker Blue" color.

Restrictions: •Earliest permissible date for an installation at this location is SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2015 at 12:00 noon EDT. •All installations need to be removed no later than OCTOBER 17, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. EDT. •All installations must be small enough to maintain a minimum 10’ of width at all points along the length of the footpath on the Blue Bridge for pedestrian and emergency access. •No installation will be allowed to attach/wrap/hang from any portion of the Blue Bridge structure. All installations must be on the bridge deck and self-standing and cannot be anchored to the bridge. •All installations must be approved by the Historic Preservation Commission and/or City’s Historic Preservation Specialist.
