DisArt is beginning a series of brief DIStopia podcast episodes that will be produced during ArtPrize and shared through the ArtPrize Daily. In this first episode of their ArtPrize Nine series for the DIStopia podcast, DisArt co-directors Chris Smit and Jill Vyn offer reflections of the independent films It Ain’t Over and Dina (pronounced “Deena”) from Wednesday evening’s ArtPrize on Screen event that was held at the Ladies Literary Club on Sheldon Blvd.

Over 40 people stayed for a lively post film dialogue. In this episode Chris and Jill reflect on some of this conversation without giving away too many details from the film. Emily Loeks, Director of Community Affairs at Celebration! Cinema, also joins the conversation with her insights about what made the event successful.

Please tune in to this and future ArtPrize mini podcast episodes of DIStopia and if you want to catch Dina in the theater, it will be part of Celebration! Cinema’s Indie Film Series beginning October 6 at Woodland. All screenings will be captioned.
