This year we launched the first annual ArtStart: Online Competition for Youth.

The rules were simple:

  • Anyone under the age of 18 could enter. Contestants had to experience ArtPrize 2013 between September 18th - 26th. They created artwork based on their experience that included three "Elements of ArtPrize".
  • The entries were juried according to age groups by our ArtPrize Education Youth Advisory Committee, and local art experts: Abigail Bradley, Jo-Ann Van Reeuwyk, and Cynthia Hagedorn.

All of the submissions we received were AMAZING.  After much discussion, the jurors were able to select ten winners. Here they are in alphabetical order by last name:

finally use has come to me. I am alive again, thanks.
