Check out some the super awesome art supplies that were donated through Woodland Mall’s Art Supply Drive for ArtPrize Education Days 2013! Supplies will continue to be accepted at Woodland’s Customer Service Desk until September 13th.

Students grades K – 12 will use these supplies during ArtPrize and the Eames Office’s Chair Camp program at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.  Over the course of three days, and six program sessions, a total of 1,500 students from various schools will each design a miniature chair.  All students will work under the guidance of Carla Hartman, the granddaughter of legendary designers, Charles and Ray Eames.

We’re still collecting items on our wish list.  Every donation you make counts! Thank you so much for your continued support of our programs!

Supplies still needed:

• Scissors, both child size and adult size
• Tacky glue
• Pencils
• Construction paper
• Markers
• Craft sticks

Art helps children express themselves and discover their creativity, as well as develop important life skills. It is crucial to foster these artistic explorations in children so they may develop into well-rounded adults.
