ArtPrize has partnered with the American Heart Association to bring you the Art Meets Heart Steps Challenge. Each day of the event, visitors are invited to participate in this heart-healthy activity by simply walking the ArtPrize districts' Pantone Pathways in search of their favorite entries.
"We love that walking and ArtPrize are so compatible," exclaimed Cindy Bouma, Communications Director of the American Heart Association. "Why is walking so good for you? Walking has the lowest drop-out rate of any sport. Walking briskly can lower your risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes as much as running."
While walking the pathways and exploring venues at ArtPrize, we hope you join in the Art Meets Heart Steps Challenge! Simply tie your shoelaces and follow the steps below:
1. Track your steps on your personal device.
2. Walk 10,000 steps or more at ArtPrize.
3. Visit the HUB/HQ, with your personal step-tracking device, and enter to win heart healthy prizes.
