I regret to inform that the sculpture has been severely damaged en route to Artprize. A tight budget, experimenting with new materials, juggling a dayjob, personal life, other art exhibitions and 750 miles with recurring heavy rains takes its toll. The photos show some progress of the artwork and the damage received. A whim runs through my consciousness of displaying the sculpture as is with a new title: "What 750 miles and rain can do" however, that would necessitate reloading the damaged sculpture to drive an additional 300 miles. It might make a point about how life can intervene with aspirations. Along this journey I have had help from many friends who never questioned my vision while giving what they could to see that this project was completed and a father who drove a great distance on my behalf. I have no regrets for having tried, I only regret that the Artprize viewers will not see the artwork as planned.
