I am a married 47 year old mother to an amazing 12 year old girl and also an artist when life permits. I started in the science field with a cellular molecular biology degree. I made the move to study art after the loss of my mother who was always supportive of my creative nature. I have dabbled in many different styles and mediums. With all the different styles I have explored I have found my niche in the current style that I employ in all my work, watercolor "doodles". I have become increasingly interested in making, painting and assembling books. The themes vary and most often are themes important in my life at the time. I also do oil portraits but find much more fulfillment from the freer work that I have been doing over the last several years. My daughter Lilly is a largely inspirational force in my life as she creates art as well. I also love to cook and bake. I have found that when I cannot create art due to the "business of life", cooking and baking provide me a very similar creative satisfaction. A lot of my translation and communication to the "world" around me is through creating art and food. Art, in particular the style I use now, provides me with a place to "hide" and "blend in" to the world but also show my love and appreciation for it and the people I share it with. I love life and am thankful for everyday I am given.
