Ashley Miller received her Master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a concentration in Health Behavior and Health Education. She also received her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan as well. Ashley has worked at the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center (MADC) for the past year as a part of their Outreach and Recruitment Core. She is also a Co-founder of The Evergreen Experience, LLC., an adult day program for individuals with dementia that uses horticultural therapy and farming based activities to promote physical activity, social interaction, and increase sense of purpose in individuals with dementia. Ashley enjoys bringing her passion for art into her work both at the MADC and with The Evergreen Experience. She has planned multiple art making sessions for individuals with dementia and their caregivers and believes that art making has great potential to improve an individual's wellbeing and sense of self. She has seen first hand how art making provides a platform for individuals with dementia and their caregivers in which they are able to have shared, equitable exchanges with one another that provide great value to both.
