Description of work: Imagine that you are taking a journey on foot. Behind you are all of the people that you know, along with all of the familiar sights and comforts. Ahead of you are paths and places that you have never traveled before. Some of the terrains appear hostile while others are peaceful oases. This journey is the premise of my book/entry.
The entry consists of 3 7x10 prints & 1 written reflection - framed approx. 19-1/2"x16"ea + self-published coffee table book (featuring more reflections & photos). Framed pieces to be hung or supported on easels, book to be displayed on pedestal (provided).

The windswept landscape looms in front of me - unwelcoming. The way is rough, my feet are heavy and I am tired; worn out from the struggle. Gone are the days when my spirit was renewed and refreshed because I found you at every turn. The days are but a faded memory when I could so easily see the work of your hands and draw strength from it; rejoicing with all that was around me... |
