Description of work: Begun in 1995, this work in progress draws from icons of popular culture, combining images of precious environmental resources as a democratically transformative vehicle. The relationship of the subject projects a heightened sense of awe upon the viewer, elevating from commodity within an age of economic insecurity to sublime hope, through universal principles of beauty and light. |
