Description of work: So many families in the world today have been affected by Alzheimers. Until there is a cure found I want to help raise awareness to this disease. It is the number six cause of death in the US and we need to stop it now. I have lost two grandparents and a number of family members to this disease. I was inspired to do this piece when my friend's mother asked me to do a portrait of her husband who is suffering from the early stages of the disease. She said "I want something he can look at later on and say, I Remember." |
